There’s a lot coming from Microsoft in the coming weeks, including the Windows 8 and Surface launch on Oct. 25 in New York City, and the company’s developer-oriented Build conference on Oct. 30 in Redmond. Now Microsoft has just announced a Windows Phone 8 event on Oct. 29 in San Francisco.
Microsoft’s announcement notes “[a]s we approach holiday season, we ask you to save October 29th on your calendar for some exciting Windows Phone 8 news. Look out for more details in the coming weeks.” Rumors have been circulating about an Oct. 29 Windows Phone 8 launch in San Francisco for some time, so consider this a confirmation.
